On Tuesday, November 22, the Hamilton Middle School Daily Living Skills class hosted its annual Thanksgiving Feast for Hamilton staff members.
The students were responsible for designing posters and menus, helping to cook and serve the food, collecting the donations, and much more.
"Our students in the life skills room host a Thanksgiving feast and days like today are awesome," said Mr. Brandon Riemersma, a special education teacher who works with the students. "Basically, everything that goes into this, the students either help with or do on their own so there are a lot of different skills for them to learn."
The meal consisted of turkey, potatoes and gravy, vegetable stuffing, apple crisp, salad, and more.
"It's very happy and exciting," smiled eighth grade student, Charlee Hoover, who is part of the class, "We get to help the teachers with their lunch and have fun with them."
