The Hamilton Middle School Unified basketball team played its first-ever game on Friday, February 23 at Zeeland's Creekside Middle School!
Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability.
The Hawkeyes team worked together on and off of the court to help one another and cheer on their teammates! After the game, the team had a pizza party together.
