"Chuck is a legend," is something you'll hear quite a bit through the halls of Hamilton High School from our students. For over four decades, Chuck Breuker has not only been cleaning classrooms, hallways, windows, gyms, and everything else in between, he has also been a beacon of positivity and energy for all students and staff.
On Monday, August 26, Chuck let his secret out of the bag informing students of his impending retirement this week. The students let out an audible gasp when he informed them, before Chuck turned the somber moment into one with smiles and laughter yet again.
"I'd love to do the wave one more time with you guys," he smiled before setting the microphone down, putting his hands in the air and getting the students to join in the roller coaster with him.
"I'm going to miss you, Chuck," a sophomore student told him after his announcement. A lot of high fives and fist bumps would ensue for the rest of the day. Chuck's final day at his alma mater will be Thursday, August 29.
