The Hamilton 7th grade band, 8th grade band, and high school band all received straight Division 1 "Excellent" ratings at the MSBOA District Festival at Allegan High School on February 28. This outstanding achievement may mark the first time in Hamilton Community Schools history that all three bands earned top ratings at the event!
Under the direction of dedicated band director, Mr. Joe Herrick with assistance of Mr. Paul Connelly, Hamilton's musicians impressed the judges with their skill, precision, and musicality.
“I couldn't be more proud of our students,” said Mr. Joe Herrick. “They have put in an awful lot of work to get to this point and to see all of the wonderful things the judges said to them or wrote in their feedback was really gratifying. Our students are continuing a long tradition of excellence in our band program, both musically and how they represent our school when on these kinds of trips.”
